Hi Adventure Philanthropists! With a name like Erin, being part-Irish, and sometimes a red head, I think St. Patty’s Day is meant just for me! So I thought this weekend I’d share a little Irish fun...And to me, there’s no better way to kick off of St. Patty’s Day then with a good ‘ole fashioned Irish limerick! In fact, my family and I used to try and best one another with our own original limericks (alas, these were of the “There once was a girl from Nantucket” variety). So to keep it clean, I’ve chosen an all-age-appropriate limerick for you: A funny young fellow named Perkins For more St. Patty’s Day fun, check out my Go Erin Go Facebook page this Sunday for an Emerald Island Quiz, Green-Themed Photo Essay and a good Irish joke or two! And now for our articles this week: New: Erin Goes Global, Year 2 Highlight *Video* At the end of Year #1 of my “Erin Goes Global” RTW trip, I did a video recap of the highlights. So I thought I’d do another video recap of my second year on the road. Here’s a short 3-minute clip of my amazing Year #2: Favorite: Belfast’s Peace Walls & Photo Essay I was looking forward to traveling to Belfast to see a bit of Northern Ireland. While most tourists are interested in visiting Belfast’s new Titanic Museum, I was much more keen to take a walking tour of the city’s notorious Peace Walls. Here’s a video and photo essay explaining the walls’ significance. Photo of the Week: Irish Castle, Outside of Dublin I went on a drive with my good buddy Brid to the outskirts of Dublin to visit a friend. And situated in the heart of some small Irish town was this beautiful iconic Irish Castle. It was a brisk sunny day and so we strolled the grounds surrounding the castle before we headed in to dine. Such a lovely way to work up an appetite! Want more Go Erin Go? Visit:
