Hi Adventure Philanthropists!

As we all get our summer travel plans underway I thought I’d pass along this Manifesto for Travel, created by ytraveblog.com. This light-hearted infographic is a fun reminder of the joys of escaping our everyday world and the benefits of travel and exploration!

Check out the full "manfiesto," more infographics, and loads of curated photos, on my GoErinGo Pinterest site!

Favorite:  Sensational Sigiriya *Video*

Sigiriya is an ancient rock fortress and palace in Sri Lanka’s Ancient Cities. Built in the 5th century, Sigiriya was later used as a Buddhist monastery until the 14th century. While the palace remains and the natural surroundings are beautiful, the real draw are these incredibly colorful frescos of semi-naked ladies! I explain more in this video taken at the top of Sigiriya’s Loin’s Rock looking out over the central Sri Lankan plains…

Photo of the Week: Pregnant Lion, Etosha, Namibia

We were out on safari in Namibia’s famed Etosha National Park (one on my favorite places for a safari!), when our guide spotted this female lion, panting heavily and heading toward our encampment. Obviously pregnant, she was heading toward some of the only shade around to lie down and give birth.
