Go Erin Go Newsletter

Hi Adventure Philanthropists,

I'm super excited that  my series of book launches and signings is just around the corner! I have two Bay Area parties that are open to the public. Would love for you to join me in the fun!

  • Thursday, Nov. 21 at 6:00 pm The Marsh, Berkeley, CA – This informal event (think: art space + Happy Hour + slide show + chatting) hosted by the ethical travel company Altruvistas will benefit the anti-trafficking org: MISSSEY. It's free, so RSVP Today!
  • Monday, Nov. 25 at 6:00 pm at The Commonwealth Club, SF - This is a more formal presentation (think: NPR broadcast + podcast + moderated Q&A). If you’re a Kickstarter supporter, look for your *special code* sent via email. Everyone welcome! Reserve your seat today!

And now for the articles this week:

New:  My Travel Addiction

Favorite: SlutWalking in South Africa

On the heels of last week’s article on the prevalence of “slutty” Halloween costumes for women, I thought I’d share a past post on SlutWalks. Here’s what they are, why they’re necessary, and why I’d be proud to be a SlutWalk participant…

Photo of the Week: Australian Outback Sky, Ghan

I love all things train, so I was super excited to be able to take the famous train The Ghan through the Australian outback. From my overnight berth, I caught glimpses of incredible outback imagery, ripe with intense colors and dramatic landscapes. Beautiful!
