As loyal GoErinGo Weekly subscribers you are first to hear my great news! Today I am thrilled to announce that my book Adventure Philanthropist: Great Adventures Volunteering Abroad is published! More Coming Soon!
About the Book: The plan was there was no plan: visit all seven continents, see what happens. Erin Michelson is a high adventuress who lives life on the edge. Giving up a successful business, her stake to a house, and all of her possessions, she decided to just take her money and run. Surviving swindlers and saints, she struggles to keep her eyes and heart open. Her escapades show us not only how to tackle a mine-field, how to bathe an elephant, and where to find a string of pearls, but also how to make a world of difference to those who need it most—vulnerable women and children. For two years, she canvases the globe, searching for an authentic experience and the chance to reach out and leave the world, even just a small part of it, a better place. Meet Erin Michelson, Adventure Philanthropist. About the Author: A former finance executive, Erin Michelson is a consultant specializing in asset generation and expansion strategies for nonprofit organizations. She has worked on every side of philanthropy: holding management positions with several leading organizations, founding her own nonprofit, serving as a Board of Director, and running her own charitable fund. A recognized social entrepreneur and recipient of multiple international awards, Erin has lived and studied in Auckland, Beijing, and Cape Town. She holds degrees in International Relations, Political Science, and Government & Public Administration. Living a nomadic life, Erin continues to consult, volunteer, and travel widely.
