Happy New Year Adventure Philanthropists! Hope your holiday season is wrapping up nicely! Mom and I are having a grand time Down Under, relishing the warm weather. We spent Christmas Eve swimming under the stars and Christmas morning biking through Brisbane’s botanical gardens, passing picnickers and lawn bowlers along the way! Next Tour Stop: Perth > Hosted by Soropistimist International Maylands Peninsula, the nonprofit to be the beneficiary of 20% of our book selling profits is Young Carers WA which supports individuals under the age of 26 who provide at-home care for loved ones with a medical illness or disability. For more info on this event, contact me at Erin@GoErinGo.com. January 8, 2014 Book Photos & Videos > Did you know that the extraordinary individuals that you meet in the pages of Adventure Philanthropist come alive in the more than 70 videos and 150 photos that accompany each chapter of the book? Yes siree! Be sure and check out the Adventure Philanthropist Video & Photo Library – either before or after you buy the book! And now for the articles this week: New: 2013 GoErinGo! Charitable Giving The goal in establishing the GoErinGo! Fund was to make a charitable gift to organizations and communities I met during my two-year around-the-world journey. Now almost 3 years to the day, I’ve met my objective – donating more than $36,000 to nonprofits around the world. Here’re the details on which organizations received support: Favorite: MESSAGE from the Australian Outback *Video* When we think of Australia, we’re really thinking about The Outback – it’s 95% of Australia’s land mass and home to only 20% of its people. Truly the great unknown. I couldn’t wait to get there and it was definitely the highlight of my time Down Under during my previous visit in 2011. Photo of the Week: Sam & Friend, Sydney Upon our first few days in Sydney, we took a brief trip out to an animal park so mom could get to see the Aussie animals up close and personal. Here she is with one of her new buddies! Want more Go Erin Go?
Hope your holidays were grand! Here's to a fabulous 2014! See you on the road, Erin
