G‘Day Adventure Philanthropists! We're feeling the heat down here in Australia with record temperatures (44C / 110F) in both Perth and now in Melbourne. But we're not letting the heat wave get in the way of our fun! Next Tour Stop > So pleased to have added a new book signing event in Melbourne. If you have friends in the area, please encourage them to join the fun during Australia Day weekend: Monday, Jan. 27 at 7:00 pm 5-Star Amazon Review > This week’s featured review is from Marianna. Here’s a snippet of her flattering impression of the book: “I saw Erin speak at the Commonwealth Club and she was so engaging and interesting that I knew her book would be amazing. It did not disappoint…. She got me excited to plan my next trip and to think about ways to engage with the people and issues on my next journey. This is a must read and I know you will love it!” Buy the book > Here’s how you can get your hands on a print copy via either Lulu.com or Amazon. eBooks versions are also available for Kindle and iBook / Nook. And now for the articles this week: New: Dreaming of Aboriginal Art I adore Aboriginal artwork – the intricate designs, modern aesthetic, and sheer beauty mesmerize me. While in Australia I’ve been regularly wandering into art galleries just to gawk. Since I’m enamored I decided to find out a bit more and this is what I dug up… Favorite: The Outback by Chopper, Hog & Choo Choo During my last visit to Australia I traveled to Uluru and getting there was half the fun! I figured why settle for pedestrian planes and cars, when you can experience the ultimate “Thrill of the Outback?” Here’re 3 über cool ways to visit Uluru (Ayers Rock): Photo of the Week: Wisdom from Shute Harbor, Queensland While staying in Shute Harbor I wandered down to a small bay next to the marina and spied an engraved rock plaque hanging on a tree. I thought the saying was especially sweet, especially since it was unexpectedly nestled in the beautiful surroundings. Want more Go Erin Go?
Been in Australia for more than a month now and continue to appreciate the Aussie friendliness – especially the hospitality of my good buddies Teresa and Paul here in Melbourne! See you on the road, Erin |
