Howdy Adventure Philanthropists! I’m back in the US of A and fully enjoying my much-missed bottomless cups of coffee. Watch out world, I am now fully fueled! Nationwide College Campus Tour > Not only am I back in the States, but I’m back at school this week, kicking off my nationwide college campus tour in partnership with the Foundation for Sustainable Development. Earlier this week I had a whole lot of fun talking with the students of Occidental College and Claremont McKenna College’s Kravis Leadership Institute. I was thrilled to see so many young people excited about the idea of volunteering overseas! SoCal REI Roadshow > REI roadshow also launched this week in Los Angeles. Here’s the list of events to RSVP:
And now for the articles this week: New: Around the World with Erin This week the The Journal and Naples Daily News published a profile of my trip, the book and tour. The article does a great job encapsulating what it means to be an Adventure Philanthropist. And plus there’s a quote from Sam! Favorite: The Fun of Living on a Sailing Ship My love affair with all things boats continues — And lucky I was able to take two incredible sailing journeys during my 2-year trip. My cruises epitomize the spirit of Living Mini! Read all about my Clipper Ship fun (& watch the videos)! Photo of the Week: Milford Trek, South Island, New Zealand Took this shot several years ago on Day 1 of the 4-day Milford Trek in New Zealand’s South Island. All things considered a very cushy hike with deluxe mountain lodges and hot meals waiting for us at the end of each day. The trek took us through gorgeous scenery – gigantic ferns, sky-high waterfalls, and mountain tops shrouded in mist. Want more Go Erin Go?
Thanks again to all my Aussie friends who showed such generous hospitality -- swell folks every one! See you on the road, Erin |
