Hi Adventure Philanthropists,

This was another turbo-filled week with several of the REI events full to capacity and lots of great conversations about upcoming consulting assignments. Whoo hoo!

African Safari Videos > My friends over at Acacia Africa, the tour company I took to visit the Uganda mountain gorillas, wrote a post on safari videos (including mine) and highlighted my book and upcoming tour date = Nice!

5* Amazon Review > Last week I received a very kind review from Leslie in San Francisco:

“There is much about the Adventure Philanthropist that inspires - from the author's fearlessness to her willingness to live in the present. But what I find most refreshing is that in today's consumer society here is an intelligent, capable young woman asking how she can give rather than take. That calling to give, to understand people and make the world around her a better place imbues all of Ms. Michelson's writing. Her book is a delight and her spirit is genuine and generous. I highly recommend Adventure Philanthropist!”

And now for the articles this week:

New: The Richest Man in the World

I met my buddy Ryan in Argentina as he was heading to Antarctica as part of his plan to visit all 7 continents in a year -- which he did. And then last year he visited all 50 states. In this guest post, Ryan shares his reflections on the benefits of worldwide travel.

Here I am with Yudit, the founder of El Halev, a nonprofit teaching women’s self defense. Yudit co-presented with me at Microsoft last week. At the end of her talk, Yudit helps women realize their power by teaching them how to break a wooden board. Here I am gearing up…..Aaiiiiiiiyyyyyaaaaa!

Tomorrow I’m winging my way back to Florida for a few local speaking engagements and a respite. Will be nice to be in the same bed for a few nights after more than 3 months of hopping between 10 international cities: San Francisco, Honolulu, Sydney, Brisbane, Darwin, Perth, Melbourne, Hobart, Los Angeles and San Diego = Whew!

See you on the road,

Erin
