Hi Adventure Philanthropists,
The holidays are in full swing and I’m all geared up to… slow down… I’m taking a much-needed break from work to enjoy time with old and new friends. I see hot mugs of tea, soul-bearing conversations, and walks on the beach in my future.

This month all profits from the sale of More Fear benefit Project Enlighten, an organization founded to help landmine survivors in Cambodia attend college. If that isn’t Christmas-stocking worthy, I don’t know what is!
And now for the articles this week:
Today it’s all about ladybugs. Like butterflies, ladybugs migrate and last weekend I set out with a few friends to find their colonies here in the California redwoods. Here I share the ladybug low-down, including how you can get involved to save our native species!
Favorite > Michelsons Take Madrid
A few years ago, Mom and I spent Christmas in Spain & Portugal. During the holiday season, Madrid in particular was a vision of beauty with lights strung up between every boulevard and square. And the street party—We guessed there must be 5,000 inhabitants strolling the streets. It was so festive! So Feliz Navidad!
Photo of the Week > Trinidad & Tobago – Here I come!
My next adventure is to the Caribbean islands of Trinidad & Tobago. A few days ago I posted this photo and asked for any insider tips and boy did I get a response! Such a totally friendly and welcoming culture! What about you—Ever been? What hotspots should I be sure and hit?
