An Aloha Style Christmas – Giving U™

Hanuma_Bay_1Um, so here’re the thing. I was all ready to do the Fun Run for Homelessness, but then there was this BIG HUGE rain storm that morning with flooding and everything! Um, so I wrapped gifts instead for Habitat for Humanity.

There were 6 of us in all for a 4 hours shift. We made just over $104 dollars, plus another $50 of so in donations. It was kinda of a slow Friday night.

See Erin Run, Wrap or Yap — You choose what I do during my Christmas break in Hawaii!

I’ll be chilling on the beach during the holidays, soaking up the sun and spreading some holiday spirit!

I plan to do a little volunteering during my vacation, and you get to choose which activity is for Erin the Elf!

See Erin Run: Homeward Bound – 5k Run to End Homelessness

Saturday morning starting at 7:30 am, am I at the starting line or still snoozing? Through the Institute of Human Services, Homeward Bound provides meals to homeless families living in Hawaii.

See Erin Wrap: Honolulu Habitat for Humanity – Gift Wrapping

Am I ribbons and bows bound? You tell me if the perfect holiday gift is funding to build houses for low-income families.

See Erin Yap: PBS Hawaii - Phone Banking

For one solid hour, the phone rings and I answer…Or do I? PBS Hawaii provides programming to inform, inspire, and entertain and that is representative of the diversity of island communities.

The volunteer activity with the most votes by December 15, 2010 will be the Aloha-worthy winner! I’ll announce the organization where I’ll be volunteering via Twitter and Facebook.
