For centuries Pokhara, Annapurna’s main city, served as a stop on the trading route between India and China. It still retains a small-town charm and a discernible hippy vibe. I like it and think you should go!

I started to refer to the Annapurna Base Camp (ABC) trek as the “Tea House” trek because of both the frequency of our stops (although I’m not complaining) and the tea house atmosphere that makes this hike different from all others.
