Jo & The Book Bus *Video* – Giving U™
I met Jo, from London, while on a short 5-day tour with Acacia Africa. We were in Uganda to see the mountain gorillas and stayed a few nights at beautiful Lake Bunyonyi.
That’s where I learned that after Uganda, Jo was heading to Malawi to do some volunteer work with The Book Bus, a nonprofit organization based in the UK.
The Book Bus aims to improve literacy rates in Africa and South America by providing children with books and the inspiration to read them. More than simple library, volunteer engage with the children and teachers to bring reading to life.
The Book Bus works in schools, orphanages and needy communities in Zambia, Malawi and Ecuador. Watch Jo as she tells us about her upcoming volunteer experience:
