Let’s Talk Turkey! – Giving U™

So let’s help everyone eat their share of turkey and fixins this year! For a $25 donation, you can help 10 people enjoy a Thanksgiving dinner.
Making the Cut
I did a little research and here’re 3 nonprofit organizations that are in desperate need of turkeys to feed their flock. All are small regional organizations who are directly serving the needy in their neighborhoods:
- People’s City Mission in Lincoln, NE
- Care and Share Food Bank of Southern Colorado
- Spooner House, Shelton, Connecticut
I especially stand behind the message of Spooner House:
“Spooner House is operated by Area Congregations Together, Inc. with the mission of providing food, shelter and support services to people in need. All of our energies are devoted to helping our clients establish a self-sufficient living situation. We recognize the dignity of our clients, we give them our respect and we deliver our services without proselytizing.”
Gobble Gobble!
Since I like to over-indulge on Thanksgiving, I bought a turkey dinner at each of these fine organizations.
Do you have a favorite turkey-giving charity? Please write in so people can give in their local area too!
Thanks for sharing the wealth this Thanksgiving!
