Made it to Ankara!

July 11, 2009: Ankara

Whew!  After nearly 24 hours of travel, I finally checked in to my hotel. It’s 11:30 pm and I’m wide awake…probably because I slept most of the way.  Here’s the thing: I can pretty much sleep on command. I taught myself this trick during my days of long-haul flights to Asia. I’m off to Cappadocia early tomorrow to spend a couple of days exploring caves, riding ATVs, and seeing the Whirling Dervishes. …sounds like fun!

Be sure and chck out the new GoErinGo.com home page — my itinerary is all mapped out and there’s a hiliarious pic of me on a flying carpet. And about the itinerary…I might be changing it already. I read my Lonely Planet book on the flight over and might have to spend more time on the Turkish Riveria. The sun and sea are drawing me and I may not be able to resist the pull…

Look for pics with the next posting!  Lyi gercler (that’s goodnight in Turkish)!
