My New Ambassadorship
I am pleased to announce a new partnership with the Foundation for Sustainable Development, a nonprofit organization that supports community organizations around the world.
An Asset-based Approach
FSD uses a collaborative, asset-based approach to address local health, social, environmental, and economic issues in underserved communities. It provides training, grants and trained volunteers to more than 300 partners in Africa, Asia and Latin America.
FSD brings students, professionals, and retirees to global sites to support critical grassroots initiatives through four immersive training programs: International Internships, Gap Year Programs, ProCorp Volunteering, and Global Service Trips.
Erin as University Ambassador
With our shared appreciation of the benefits of global volunteering, for the next six months, I’ll be representing FSD as an Ambassador on my 28-city book tour and visiting their network of 25 university campuses across the U.S.
This is a great opportunity to speak with college and graduate students at institutions like Stanford, Emory University, NYU, and Northwestern and share my enthusiasm for hands-on mutually beneficial community engagement.
Join the Fun!
Interested in volunteering abroad or supporting FSD’s community development work? FSD has programs in India, Uganda, Kenya, Nicaragua, Bolivia, and Argentina. For more information, contact me at Erin@GoErinGo.com or visit the FSD web site at: www.fsdinternational.org.
