Questions Kids Ask Me *Video*

Watching Videos, Montessori, FLI was recently in southern Florida and asked to speak with 45 4-year-olds at my nephew’s Montessori School. So I chatted with the kiddos, showing them videos of all the exotic animals I had seen during my travels—tigers & gorillas & penguins Oh My!

I also spent an afternoon chatting with a local Parent-Student Geography Club of 15 highly engaged geography aficionados. These kids were smart! I planned a 30-mintue presentation, hoping to introduce them to several indigenous cultures that they have never heard of. More than 2 hour later, I was still sitting on the floor talking with them and pointing out locations on their gigantic world map. These were my type of people!

Erin as Dora the Explorer

The more I speak with students, the more I start to see myself as a grown-up version of Dora the Explorer (which is kind of apt actually). To get a peek at how I’m relating with the students, I thought I’d provide you with a video of some of the cute questions that the kids are asking.

Here are my 3 favorite kids’ questions:

Speaking with Students

Interested in arranging for me to come and speak with the children in your neighborhood? I’m happy to! Just shoot me an email and I’ll try and make a stop during my upcoming North American tour (more on that later….) to visit your neighborhood associations and schools.

Geography Club! Here’re a few post-classroom comments from parents and teachers:

“Once again we really enjoyed your visit! Must have been such an exciting adventure! Not many people can say they have experienced the things that you have and visited the places that you’ve seen! We can read about adventurers such as yourself and dream to do that “one day”! But you can say you did it! Thank you for sharing your experiences with our children.”

Tracy Taylor, Director, Children’s Montessori School

“The children in our geography club were thrilled to meet Erin and we do not have enough words to thank her for sharing her around the world experiences. Especially the interactions and volunteer work with the poor and needy and indigenous tribes.”

Monthly Video Q&A

I had great fun in making this video, so I thought I’d kick off a new monthly series of Video Q&As. Each month I will answer three questions that have come my way having to do with:

  • Insider info on life on the road
  • Recommendations on travel itineraries
  • Packing tips for your next holiday
  • The emotional side of long-term travel

Have a question of your own? Write me at Erin@GoErinGo.com and I’ll answer via video!
